How does it work?
nokLINK™ is a communications protocol carrier that encrypts, compresses and routes data between network end-points while defending this valuable information against all forms of attack. It locks down the network end points and allows only predetermined protocols to move through the network while blocking all incoming requests.
How is it different from
other VPNs?
VPNs are network-specific and attach remote users to only one designated network, in order to allow the remote computer to operate as if it were on the local LAN. nokLINK™ on the other hand is not specific to any network and does not attach users to networks; rather it provides machine-to-machine application tunneling. The result is a more flexible and secure solution which is easier to deploy and is more cost effective.
How is it secure?
Most VPNs are vulnerable to attack since client authorization is generally accomplished using user-names and passwords. nokLINK™ employs a capability based security system that assigns a unique identifier ("fingerprint") to each node and then restricts its range of actions to designated areas of the network. Users cannot roam outside of their designated "sandboxes". This "fingerprint" is encrypted and protected by a layer of security that provides rigorous defense against keystroke logging, spoofing, phishing and social engineering. nokLINK™ uses a DNS-like structure without direct IP addresses making it invisible to the public Internet.
What about ease of use and flexibility?
Once installed there are no client side configuration issues. A register of users is maintained centrally, providing each user with a "fingerprint" and a "sandbox" to play in. nokLINK essentially turns every machine into its own domain, capable of sending and receiving authorized communication from any network in the world.
